New City KidsNew City Kids: "Loving kids for change: using the arts, learning and leading to transform the lives of children and youth."

New City Kids was established in 2000 in an effort to provide teen leadership development and performing arts opportunities to at-risk children and teenagers in Jersey City. We have a comprehensive plan to help high-need children in Jersey City to prepare for a life of success and we have the results to prove its effectiveness. To this end we offer several key programs, including: the After School Center, Summer Camp, the Teen Employment Leadership Development Program, and our Job Fair.

The After School Center serves 1st-8th grade students during the academic year. The center is open from 3-6pm daily, offering homework help and performing arts/activity classes.

Summer Camp is a day camp during the month of July for students entering the 1st-8th grades.

The Teen Employment program hires high school students to serve as tutors and teachers in the After School Center and counselors for the Summer Camp. Students are hired through their participation in the annual Job Fair, held in June.		Bus Service

The mission of New City Kids is: Loving Kids for Change; using the arts, learning and leading to bring transformation to the lives of children. Our vision is to walk with a child for up to thirteen years and be an advocate, family, teacher and mentor to that child. We strive to set these children on a path of life transformation that will carry them forward for the rest of their lives. To this end we offer several key programs, including: the After School Center for Performing Arts, the Teen Employment Leadership Development Program, City Sail (a free sailing school), and Summer Camp.
